Job Description
My client is looking for an experienced Business Developer for the European region. Reporting to the Vice President of Business Development, this position is responsible for driving international growth through partner relationships. This person will work with the VP to develop and execute the company's international business development strategy
Primary responsibilities include:
- Developing the company's international business development strategy.
- Recruiting and managing technology, reseller and joint-marketing partners in Europe and extending existing US-based partnerships to Europe.
- Identifying partner alternatives to enter new geographies.
- Building referral and reseller channels in existing markets.
- Integrating partner initiatives into the overall EMEA marketing plan.
- Working with key wireline and wireless telecom operators to drive distribution of selected cpmpany products.
- Working with key call-center providers to expand the value of company products in this market.
Skills/Requirements
- Previous software industry experience (5-10 years)
- Proven track record of developing successful deals, partnership and opportunities in a global environment.
- Strong interpersonal, relationship management and negotiating skills.
- Excellent verbal communication skills - equally effective in formal and informal settings with senior managers; able to gain credibility with potential business partners.
- Strong written communication skills to develop effective business plans, proposals and reports.
- Possess excellent analytical skills and financial acumen; able to structure and direct sophisticated business analysis and modeling.
- Ability to adapt and effectively operate in a variety of cultural settings (foreign language proficiency strongly preferred).
- Fluency in English, French and other languages is desirable.
- Knowledge of telecom, mobile, hardware or helpdesk software industries.
- Technical fluency; must be able to learn new technologies and communicate on a technical level.
- Organization and time management skills for managing multiple opportunities.
